Wrap, then strap

Cover the furniture with a blanket, then secure it with stretch wrap or moving straps. The blanket cushions; the strap holds it in place.

Wrap corners individually

Furniture damage almost always happens at the corners. Wrap one corner at a time with the blanket folded thick, then tape over.

Keep them after the move

Use them as drop cloths for painting, dust covers in the garage, or a furniture pad under a moving project. They earn back their cost three times over.
