Plates: vertical, never flat

Stand wrapped plates on edge in a box, like LPs in a record crate. Flat-stacked plates crack under their own weight when the box shifts.

Three layers per dish

One sheet to wrap, one sheet to cushion, one sheet between adjacent items. It feels like overkill until you unbox and zero things are broken.

Crumple, don't fold

For void-fill, crumple loosely. A folded sheet has zero cushioning value; a crumpled sheet has 50x the surface area to absorb impact.
